📝 Sample Solution (Chapter 3: Linear Equations)

Problem: Solve 2x + 3y = 11 and 2x – 4y = -24
Solution:

Subtract EQ2 from EQ1:
(2x + 3y) - (2x - 4y) = 11 - (-24)  
7y = 35 ⇒ y = 5  
Substitute y=5 in EQ1:  
2x + 15 = 11 ⇒ x = -2  
∴ Solution: x = -2, y = 5
